The Aftershock Spring/Summer ´10 Collection
The Aftershock SS’10 Collection remains loyal to its exuberant colour schemes and prints this season. It rebels against the hard times and plays with a sparkle and glamour instead. The Aftershock SS’10 Collection impersonates three different characters: Romantic Dreamer, Futuristic Chic and Golden Miss.
A Romantic Dreamer is the bohemian soul, young at heart and full of naive aspirations to save the world. Her wardrobe is influenced by the Art Deco movement from the early 30s and is softened by the influence of the romantic boudoirs from the late 70s. Art Deco comes to life through vintage crepes in the collar detailing and adds a modern twist of lace, chiffon and embroidery details to the floral tea dresses. Romantic boudoir complements the look by adding lots of layers, introducing satin and tulle and light as feather knits. All is coloured in the softest pastel shades and faded ice cream tones of Pistachio, Pink and Red. She accessorises the look with the dolly straps, pearls and round toe shoes.
From classic to modern, A Futuristic Chic is a child of the 21st century who is keen to find out what is hidden behind those stars in the sky. She brings the energy and is not afraid to experiment. She combines sexy and sharp silhouette dresses with leather and volume spring coats. She makes a statement but it’s ready to experience life on Mars right away and this is emphasized with cosmic prints. She plays with innovative fabrics but cherishes natural fibre and cotton, while her ultimate secret is a combination of chiffon and leather. All the colours are strong and represent the universe around her. The choices she makes vary from Coal Black to high Sky Blue, the entire range of neutral Earth tones and fresh spring brights. She accompanies her look with overweight metallic accessories, geometric panels, chain straps and killer court heels.
In stark contrast, A Golden Miss is a classy and elegant lady, a true socialite, always knows the best party to go to and is admired by everybody. She adores the new statement glamour dresses, a sexy knee length is perfect for the cocktail night and a shoulder maxi dress - for the queen of the night. A Golden Miss celebrates summer with the tropical colours of Emerald Green, Citrus Lime and Paradise Blue. She loves diamonds and accessorizes her outfits with encrusted jewels, large stones and Gold cuffs.
