Emma Watson has been named as the Best Dressed Women in the World for 2011.

The poll by Glamour magazine saw the Harry Potter star soar up the list following a number of cocktail dress successes.

"Emma's transformed from super-sweet teen to edgy fashionista. … We can't wait to see what Miss Watson steps out next in," the magazine enthused.

Previous winner Cheryl Cole has been knocked down into second place, followed by Twilight star Kristen Stewart.

However, Samantha Cameron and Suri Cruise also made surprise appearances, ranking at 19th and 21st respectively.

Emma recently stepped out in a stunning blue mini dress when she attended the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City to support Daniel Radcliffe who is staring in a musical there.

The 21 year old was casual for the event but still managed to be stylish by choosing a subtle geometric patterned mini dress teamed with an on trend black suit jacket.
