Jennifer Lopez looks every bit a latino goddess as she appears on the cover of the US edition of next month's Vogue magazine.

Wearing a waterfall scarlet dress she showed off her flawless figure and accentuated her youthful face with bright red lipstick.

On her feet the 42-year old singer wore a pair of matching scarlet peep-toe platform heels, as she posed for the camera.

The design of the dramatic dress was fully embraced, with the chiffon skirt seen billowing behind her as she stands in a defiant and powerful stance.

Inside the magazine J.Lo gave an in-depth interview about the breakdown of her marriage to singer Marc Anthony.

"Without going into detail … it's just really, really sad," she said.

Jennifer and Marc have two children together, Max and Emme, and are endeavouring to remain friends despite their split.

J.Lo has since begun dating backing dancer Casper Smart, who is 18 years her junior.
