Trust Lady Gaga to have a collection of outlandish evening dresses sat in her wardrobe just waiting to shock and dazzle.

Unsurprisingly when the Born This Way star strutted out at the International Emmys in New York she turned a lot of heads in her black gown. The flowing frock was the epitome of classiness from the front but from the side had a large slit where the singer flaunted a large bit of thigh.

It may have turned a lot of heads but if Lady Gaga wore anything that was not shocking that would be the biggest surprise of them all.

The singer was attending the event to present Nigel Lythgoe with the special Founders Award.

Presenting the award Gaga said that Lythgoe was her "favourite producer".

She added: "I am honoured to be here tonight and I have shared many laughs with him on the side of the stage in my crazy outfits".
